Three things you should know before betting on Wild-Stars:
1. The Wild won the first meeting between these two teams this season, but it has been all Stars since. Dallas won 7-4 when these teams met in Texas on December 20, and the team then earned a 6-3 road win over Minnesota on March 6. So, not only do the Stars need to win this game in order to keep their pace in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, but the team should also feel confident in its ability to beat this particular opponent.
2. The Stars are 14-6 when playing at home against teams with winning records this season, and they're also 14-8 when facing teams with winning percentages of 60.0% to 75.0% on the year. What that says about Dallas is that this is a team that is comfortable facing elite competition. The Stars are also 17-7 in home games against teams that shoot at least 29.0 shots per game and convert on 17% or better of their power plays this year. With that said, this Dallas group is going to be just fine against a Minnesota squad that scores a lot.
3. These teams have combined to score a total of 29 goals in their three meetings this season, so it shouldn't surprise anybody if they combine to score another seven here. The Over is actually 5-1 in the six meetings between these teams over the last three seasons, and the Wild are fourth in the league in goals per game this season. They're a team that likes to play with a little freedom, and the Stars are fully capable of thriving in that type of contest. The Over is also 15-5 when Minnesota has faced division opponents this year, and the average goals per game in those contests is 7.3 goals per game.
