Three things you should know before betting on Penguins-Sabres:
1. The Penguins are playing some really good hockey coming into this one, but they also played last night and now have to travel to Buffalo for this meeting with the Sabres. These teams have actually split wins in two games this season, with both of those contests taking place in Pittsburgh. Now, the Sabres will be hoping that home ice will help them take the edge in the season series, but it doesn't necessarily have to. The puck line is a very enticing option in this game, especially considering both meetings between these teams this year were decided by one goal.
2. Buffalo is 6-3 in the team's last nine games, so the Sabres have also been playing some great hockey since the start of March. Also, the Sabres are 12-9 when playing at home against teams with winning records in the second half of the year over the last three seasons. These players should also be pretty pumped to be getting back home, as they just played three in a row in Canada. The fans should give them a nice boost in what should be a solid atmosphere with this game being on national television.
3. The Under has hit in each of the last three meetings between these teams, with two of those games actually having the teams combine to score three or fewer goals. This matchup normally brings some intense defensive performances, and the Under is actually 7-4 in meetings between these two over the last three seasons. On top of that, the Under is 7-1 in Pittsburgh's March road games since the start of last season. It's also 7-0 when the Penguins play on the road against teams with winning percentages between 25% and 40% in the second half of the year over the last three seasons.
THE PICKS: Sabres +1.5 AND Under 6
