NBA Three at 3: Best Bets for Thursday, March 31

Tonight's NBA slate features some heavyweight matchups, with the Brooklyn Nets hosting the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers taking on the Chicago Bulls. With that said, we have you covered with our best bets of the night, so keep reading for tonight's winners.

1. Philadelphia 76ers at Detroit Pistons - 7:00 p.m. ET

The Sixers might be a much better team than the Pistons right now, but Detroit has been covering at an insanely high clip recently. The Pistons are 9-0 against the spread in their last nine games against teams with winning records, and they're also 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 games as underdogs. On top of that, Detroit is coming off of a really impressive performance against Brooklyn. The Pistons nearly won that game outright as 14-point road underdogs, and Cade Cunningham played one of the best games of his career in that one. Look for Cunningham to keep Detroit in this game as well, as his blend of size and skill is going to be tough for Philadelphia to match. Cunningham is also a very underrated defender, and he should be able to hold his own with the James Harden assignment in this one. Overall, this is just a competitive Pistons team, and it's hard to see the Sixers winning by double digits.

THE PICK: Pistons +10

2. Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets - 7:30 p.m. ET

The Bucks and Nets are arguably the two best teams in the Eastern Conference, and we'll see them battle it out at the Barclays Center tonight. As we've seen this season, this is the type of game that really lights a fire underneath Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. With that, it's just hard to see Brooklyn letting this game get away. Of course, Milwaukee ended up winning the series when these teams met in the playoffs last year, but Durant nearly led a broken down Nets team to a win in that one. With Irving, plus a number of excellent role players, he should be able to help them win this game at home. The Nets are finally playing some good basketball right now, as they're 8-3 straight-up in their last 11 games. Brooklyn also won by three as a 9.5-point underdog when these teams met in Milwaukee on February 26, and the Bucks are just 2-11 against the spread when facing teams with winning percentages between 51.0% and 60.0% this season.

THE PICK: Nets -2

3. Los Angeles Clippers at Chicago Bulls - 8:00 p.m. ET

The Clippers have new energy with Paul George back in the lineup, and we saw a patented Los Angeles comeback in the team's win over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. George was a big part of that victory, as he was active on both ends of the floor and was drilling step-back jumpers. With him looking like himself, the Clippers are poised to finish the rest of the season strong, and that should start with a good performance against a Bulls team that has struggled against good competition this season. Since the start of last season, Los Angeles is 30-18 against the spread when facing teams that make 46.0% of their shots or better in the second half of the year. The Clippers have won those games by an average of 2.1 points per game, so you shouldn't be surprised if they end up winning this game outright. The team is also 21-9 against the spread when playing on the road after back-to-back games that went Over the total over the last three seasons, so perhaps the Clippers will be more dialed in on defense here.

THE PICK: Clippers +3
